Best Photography Awards UK 2025
Kang Ho Yoon
Kang Ho Yoon, born in Seoul, South Korea, began his photographic journey in 2013 with a Canon 650D, a camera he used faithfully until 2021. During his university years (2013–2015), he was actively involved in several student journalist groups, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) student press corps, where he sharpened his eye for documentary-style storytelling.
In 2022, he transitioned to a full-frame system, marking a new chapter in his creative exploration. His work began gaining recognition shortly after:
2023 – First selected in the National Smiley Face Contest.
2024 – Honored in the Seoul Everyday Life Photography Contest.
2025 – Awarded Best Photography Awards UK Season Winner and Nominated for the reFocus Awards.
Kang Ho Yoon has loved photography since 2013, and even today, he continues to reflect, over and over again, on how to take better photographs.
"This competition was more than just receiving an award — it became a turning point that made me truly reflect on my photography. It gave me confidence and, above all, the assurance that there are people who genuinely appreciate my work.
To those reading this, I’d like to share one thought: at least once, let your photography be evaluated. Photography is, of course, a deeply personal world, but it’s even more rewarding when many others can also enjoy your images.
I hope everyone continues to enjoy photography with joy and curiosity. My heartfelt thanks go to the Best Photography Awards UK, which has given me so much."
