Kelly O'Leary

Kelly O’Leary is a multidisciplinary, self-taught visual artist, producing intimate moments in nature through her fine art B&W photography and abstract paintings. Born in Florida and raised in the Midwestern United States, she has spent a great deal of her adult life along the Georgia & Carolina coasts and currently resides and works just outside of Savannah, GA. Kelly is drawn to the perfection of nature and beauty found in the imperfect, from delicate to grandiose to those things left to ruin. Having a propensity to view the world through a tactile lens, she gravitates to organic forms and the textural shifts seen through luminosity, line, & shadow. She is pulled by the lull of the ocean and the solace of quiet spaces. Preferring the sense of abstraction, she utilizes B&W photography to remove the extraneous and amplify details, developing mood & creating a deeply emotive expression. With a deep connection to richly diverse coastal environments and ever-enamored by her explorations throughout nature, she captures quietly evocative, intimate moments behind the lens with her compositions conveying an alluring calm and a tranquil sense of place. Formally emerging in Fall 2021, Kelly has been published and exhibited internationally in the US and Europe, most recently published in Dodho Magazine's book, Monochromatic (Sep. 2025).
