Yami Yu

Yami Yu is a photographer based in New Taipei City, Taiwan. She enjoys capturing natural and authentic moments of everyday life, especially documenting her children and family in their ordinary yet meaningful experiences. Her works highlight innocence, joy, and the beauty of human connection. One of her photographs, portraying her children playing freely at the beach, has received recognition in this competition and was also honored with a feature by GR Women. Apart from these acknowledgments, Yami focuses on personal projects rather than competitions, using photography as a way to preserve emotions and tell timeless stories.

"Participating in this competition has been a truly meaningful journey for me. The awarded photograph captures a natural moment of my children playing at the beach, symbolizing freedom, simplicity, and happiness. Through this work, I hoped to share the beauty of childhood and the joy of being close to nature.
