Yip Chun Kit

Greetings. This is Yip Chun Kit. As an assistant director of a language school in Hong Kong, I consider myself an independent photographer who sees photography as both my passion and profession. Except for photo shooting school-related events, I take a significant portion of my time taking photos to deliver my points of view and feelings. It allows me to explore myself and the world around me. Photography is my tool for connecting with people and my surroundings. From the tiniest, often unnoticed plants to magnificent structures, I am drawn to find meaning in every aspect of the world.

Participating in competitions and exhibitions enables me to connect with others and share our perspectives with each other. Till today, amongst all the awards I won, I recognise three of them as my key milestones. First, the 2024 GASCA IAP Louvre International Art Competition: Photography (2nd Runner-Up). It was my first photography award that gave me confidence to further my Master's studies as a photographer and earned me a chance to exhibit my work in the Louvre, France. Second, the Best Photography Award UK 2025 (Silver Award) made me notify photography as a world language to communicate. I was so glad to see how professional adjudicators understand my work. Last but not least, the 2025 International Youth and Children's Photo Competition Open Group (Champion) was my first championship.
