Without pause. I was drawn to him not because of his condition, but because of his will — unshaken, unstoppable. While many might give up under such circumstances, he chooses action over surrender. Witnessing his determination made me feel a deep sense of shame and gratitude. I, who live more comfortably, often falter in the face of far smaller challenges. This image is not just about poverty — it’s about power. The power of the human spirit to endure. It is a mirror, asking the viewer: What are you doing with your privilege?
